Cookie Policy

Cookies, local preferences and technical tools for the Wefido service are managed by Connetter di Saymon Patryk Grabowski, VAT number 02716910415, registered at Via Alcide de Gasperi 33, 61038 Terre Roveresche (PU), Italy. For privacy requests, email privacy@wefido.it; formal certified email can be sent to connetter@pec.net.

On your first visit, Wefido lets you accept all optional tools, reject them or choose usage statistics, personalisation and profiling or marketing separately. Closing the banner keeps only necessary tools. Refusing optional tools does not restrict essential features; you will still see generic or contextual content and ads. You can change or withdraw your choice through Cookie preferences in the footer.

• Necessary technical tools support authentication, security, load balancing, requested preferences and operation of the service. They do not require consent where strictly necessary, under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.
• Internal usage statistics and Google Analytics 4 measure use of the site as described below and activate only after Statistics consent. Consent is freely given, specific, revocable and recorded.
• Optional personalisation stores the stated local searches in the browser and activates only after the corresponding choice. It is not used for behavioural advertising.
• Meta marketing and Wefido Ads measure advertising results and conversions and may create a pseudonymous interest profile to select ads. Meta Pixel and Conversions API activate only after prior, freely given, specific and revocable consent and are not required to use the service.

• wefido_consent — first-party cookie, 180 days: stores the consent version and accepted categories.
• wefido_locale — first-party cookie, 1 year: stores the selected language.
• wefido_theme — first-party cookie: stores the light or dark theme preference to prevent flashing or inconsistent layouts during loading.
• wefido_ads_session — temporary first-party browser data: it contains a random identifier, expires when the tab or browser closes and is used only to prevent repeated counts and incorrect advertising charges. It does not track users across websites.
• wefido_auth_token — first-party technical cookie: maintains an authenticated session and provides access to restricted features. It is not used for advertising.
• Local or temporary browser memory — used for interface preferences, temporary panel state, local drafts and smoother uploads where needed.
• wefido:pet-care:selected-pet:v1 and wefido_last_active_pet_id — first-party data in local browser memory: they store only the identifier of the pet selected in Diary, Health and Treatment pages. The value is ignored if that pet is no longer available.
• Server logs and request limiting — security and abuse prevention tools; they are not cookies and may use protected technical identifiers.

• You can sign out at any time. The current session is ended and the technical cookie is removed from the browser.
• Session duration depends on the sign-in method and the security settings applied to the account.
• Wefido uses technical controls to protect access and prevent automated or abusive requests.

• wefido_analytics_session — temporary first-party browser data: it contains a random identifier and expires when the tab or browser closes.
• Collected events: page path without the query string, clicks on functional elements, viewport size, active time and maximum scroll depth.
• We do not collect mouse coordinates, passwords, typed text, messages, form contents or pet diary contents.
• Before it is recorded, the session identifier is protected with a cryptographic function. IP addresses and identifying browser information are not stored in internal usage statistics.
• Events are linked to an account only when the user is signed in and has accepted usage statistics.
• Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, uses measurement ID G-YSRF8C877H and loads only after Statistics consent. It measures pages and conversions using a query-free URL, content category, value and currency where relevant.
• Wefido does not send Google Analytics 4 email addresses, account IDs, typed text or free-text queries, passwords, form contents, messages, pet diary entries, health, symptoms, medication, treatments, notes or precise location. Google Signals and advertising personalisation remain disabled.
• Configured events include views, searches without free text, contacts, leads, registrations, wish lists, carts, checkout starts, purchases, subscriptions and appointment requests. Withdrawing consent stops new events and Wefido attempts to delete first-party _ga cookies.

• wefido_personalized_local_searches — first-party data in local browser memory: it stores up to the last 6 combinations of category or breed and location.
• When signed in, suggestions may use the city listed on the profile and only a boolean indicating whether pets are present. Diary, health, medication and pet notes are not read.
• Without consent, Wefido shows generic paths or suggestions based only on the current page. Withdrawing consent deletes local personalisation history from the device.
• This data remains in the browser and is not sent to third parties for advertising or commercial profiling.

• wefido_ads_audience_session — first-party data in local browser memory, up to 90 days: a random identifier used only after consent to recognise a guest’s pseudonymous profile. It is protected with a cryptographic function before being recorded.
• Permitted signals include pages and topics viewed, searches, content views, saves, follows, shares, positive or negative reactions, ad clicks or hides, general device class and time band.
• For signed-in users, the profile may be associated with the account and used on devices where they sign in, only while consent remains valid. For guests, it remains linked to the browser’s pseudonymous identifier.
• Messages and their contents, pet diaries, health, symptoms, medication, treatment, precise location, children’s data, special-category personal data, political data and device fingerprinting are excluded.
• Interest scores decrease over time, include negative signals and are limited to non-sensitive pet topics. Wefido Ads may also use the current page, category and approximate area for contextual advertising.
• Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, are loaded or contacted only after Marketing consent. They measure page views and relevant conversions: content views, searches without free-text queries, contacts, leads, completed registrations, wish lists, carts, checkout starts, purchases, subscriptions and appointment requests.
• The same event identifier is used in the browser and on the server to deduplicate Pixel and Conversions API events. Data may include a query-free URL, event date and type, content category, purchase value and currency, Meta _fbp/_fbc identifiers and, for signed-in users, an email address and account identifier normalised and transformed with SHA-256. For technical matching, Meta may receive the IP address and user agent directly from the request; Wefido does not store them in the marketing profile.
• Wefido does not send typed text or free-text queries, passwords, form contents, messages, pet diary entries, health, symptoms, medication, treatments, notes, precise location, children’s data or special-category personal data to Meta. Automatic form-field matching is not enabled.
• When consent is withdrawn, Wefido stops new Meta events, sends the withdrawal signal to the Pixel and attempts to delete Meta first-party cookies from the browser. Meta processes received data under its own privacy notice and control tools.

Wefido may use CAPTCHA, request limits and other technical measures to protect registration, sign-in and forms from automated or abusive activity. Tools that are strictly necessary for security are activated only when needed to protect the service.

Your cookie choice lasts 180 days or until the consent version changes. Wefido retains detailed optional usage-statistics and its own Ads-profiling events for up to 90 days; the weight of interests decreases over time. Data sent to Google and Meta is retained by each provider under its privacy notice and control tools. Local personalisation history stores up to 6 searches. When consent is withdrawn, Wefido immediately stops new collection and use of the profile and removes local identifiers. Profile deletion can be requested by exercising privacy rights or through available account features.

You can delete cookies and storage in your browser settings. Removing necessary tools may sign you out or remove local preferences. Browser blocking does not replace management of consent already recorded by the service. For information or to exercise rights concerning cookies and identifiers, email privacy@wefido.it.

The inventory is updated before new cookies, SDKs or tracking tools are introduced. If an optional purpose changes or a new third party is added, Wefido requests new consent where required.
