Full description

The American Staffordshire Terrier is muscular, energetic and often closely attached to people. Individual temperament depends on genetics, early experience and management, so neither automatic aggression nor universal sociability should be assumed. Strength and possible dog-directed conflict require early socialisation, secure equipment, careful introductions and adult supervision. Daily physical and mental activity and reward-based training are essential, and owners must check rules that apply where they live or travel.
