Full description

The Chinese Crested is typically lively, sensitive and closely attached to its household. Hairless dogs have exposed skin plus furnishings on the head, feet and tail, while Powderpuffs carry a full coat; both need daily activity, training and companionship. Hairlessness is linked with incomplete or abnormal dentition, and exposed skin requires gentle care and protection from cold, intense sun and irritation. The breed is not reliably hypoallergenic.
