Full description

The Greyhound combines remarkable speed with a typically quiet indoor temperament. It needs regular walks and occasional opportunities to run safely, but not constant high-intensity exercise. Its strong chase instinct requires secure areas and careful management around smaller animals. Thin skin, low body fat and a short coat make warmth and soft bedding important. Retired racing Greyhounds may also need gradual introduction to stairs, homes and everyday experiences.
