Full description

The Irish Setter is a fast, sociable pointing dog with stamina, enthusiasm and a strong desire for activity. It needs long daily walks, safe running, scent work and consistent reward-based training; an inactive routine can lead to frustration and unruly behaviour. Many individuals retain adolescent energy for several years. The feathered coat needs regular brushing and checks of ears, feet and skin after outdoor activity.
